| Details: | SUMMARY: Water Quality Alert DETAILS: Spoke to Glenn about sample arsenic result giving the system a running annual average above the MCL and explained:Public Notice now required within 30 days and there is an imminent need to pursue treatment for removal of arsenic. He said he had called the circuit riders office some months ago to talk about this topic, but had yet to personally talk to the circuit rider. I urged him to follow through as even if the circuit rider was not available to lend assistance he would still be obligated to find someone with expertise to prepare a plan review proposal. We also talked about samples immediately due: Arsenic (was completed), Lead/Copper (he believes were completed), DBP (he believes not completed). I asked him to get needed containers for DBP filled with water by Saturday 9/30. I followed up with an email regarding the above info and included a note to expect 2 separate plan review components for (1) on-going use for the new-unapproved well and (2) arsenic removal. The tier 2 public notice was also attached to the email. ACTION NEEDED: Collect DBP samples, public notice for arsenic.Pursue plan review for the well now in use and also for arsenic removal. | ||
