Details: | SUMMARY: Water Quality Alert DETAILS: 11/7/17• After continued low pH readings, Dave Love (Culligan Water Systems) met/w Dawna McLain, Clint Raever, Stacy Knudson and me to inspect the functionality and explain the water treatment system• A service contract was entered into between School and Culligan Water Systems to provide an every other month service and inspection• Because of the 15,000 gal. volume of stored water, it could take up to 2 wks to see measureable changes in the water. Testing will continue to be performed daily11/15/17• As of result of no noticeable changes in water quality, Dave Love was scheduled for a check of the corrosion control system11/16/17• Dave Love preformed a full change of the media in the calcite filter to a blend media of Sulphur-clear and magnesium oxide again taking into consideration the 15,000 gal. stored water. It will again be up to 2 wks for results to show11/27/17• As a result of no noticeable change in water quality Dave again came out to check corrosion control system11/28/17• Ryan (Culligan) performed service call and spent several hours troubleshooting the calcite filter. Calcite media increased the pH of the water but found when it entered the iron filter it was decreasing after filter• A soda ash injector was placed between the iron filter and the chlorine injection11/29/17• Injector needed more stable power source• pH reading for water leaving the treatment system and entering the storage was 7.2• Will need to see full effect up to 2 wks due to storage tanks• Testing and monitoring of pH will continue daily 11/4/17• Today’s results 7.3 at entry point ACTION NEEDED: Continue to monitor pH, chlorine and temp. Follow up with Lincoln Co and Culligan as needed. | ||
