| Details: | Jeb notified DWS of an E. coli positive repeat sample collected 7/14 at the 1038 Snipes sample station. The upstream and downstream sites were coliform absent. With the routine sample collected 7/13 at the same site also E. coli positive, it is an E. coli MCL prompting a boil water advisory. Jeb and I discussed the advisory. I emailed him the boil water template and FAQ handout. He is working to notify the affected customers. Corrective action and follow up sampling will determine if the advisory can be lifted. Additional sampling will occur on Monday. Note: At the time of the E. coli positive samples two wells were in use. Triggered source samples collected at Well 3 (SRC-BA) and Well 4 (SRC-AC) were coliform absent.
A copy of boil water notice distributed to customers was received on 7/16/22. Lifted 07/19/2022: Jeb notified me that six samples collected on Monday 7/18 were coliform absent. The advisory will be lifted and customers notified to flush premise plumbing. - M. Byrd. |
