Details: The system has soda ash treatment and is required to test the pH and alkalinity a minimum of every 2 weeks. The system was struggling in July and August to keep up with the required monitoring for the corrosion control. When water quality parameters are not sampled at the minimum it then turns into an excursion against the water system. The system received 5 excursions in July and 9 in August. The monitoring requirements were reviewed with the water system and there were no excursions Sept-Oct. The system also struggles submitting the form before the due date and this has caused several violations against the water system. DWS will reach out to the manager and owner with specific monitoring and reporting instructions and see if the system can get back on track before any formal enforcement is required.
