Details: 01.12.2022 - Jason reported that a RT sample for January was collected at a new location ( Site 1C floshout). The sample tested TC positive.

Next step: Jason will collect 3 repeat samples. Corrective actions should be taken after repeat samples have been collected. Jason plans to shock and flush the lines.


01.10.2022 - Total coliform was detected only at the sample site on 61947 Double Eagle Rd. Test results for the other two repeat sample sites came back absent of coliform contamination. Jason clarified that the faucet on 61947 Double Eagle Rd is a swivel faucet; sampling was conducted during heavy rain and windy conditions and the sampling procedure was not properly followed. Given these circumstances, it appears that the total coliform-positive sample may have resulted from a non-distribution system plumbing problem, in which coliform was present only at the site referenced above.

Next step: The determination was made to invalidate the coliform-positive routine sample collected on January 3 and the repeat samples collected on January 5. Jason was instructed to collect a new routine (RT) sample for the month of January. The routine sample must not be collected from the swivel faucet at 61947 Double Eagle Rd. The water system will update their coliform sampling plan to reflect the changes in the sampling locations. I recommended adding a distribution map describing the RT sampling locations and their corresponding repeat sample sites in the event of a coliform detection. A copy of a coliform sampling plan template was provided via email.


01.06.2022 - Total Coliform (TC) positive sample on January 3. I emailed Jason with instructions to collect 3 RP samples as soon as possible.
