Details: SUMMARY: corrosion control optimization DETAILS: Spoke with Steve Blair several times over the past few months about EWEBs approach to optimizing their corrosion control. EWEB has been concerned that their lead levels have slowly been increasing over time and have hired a consulting firm to make recommendations to lower their lead levels. EWEB has decided to raise the pH from 7.7 to 7.9 to see if this will lower the lead levels. Sampling before and after the pH adjustment will be done to measure the effectiveness of the adjustment. An email in the file dated 8/5/08 from Steve Blair details their intent. ACTION NEEDED: none.
