| Details: | SUMMARY: Corrosion Control excursions in August DETAILS: Spoke to Jim about Corbett, who had 4 low pH excursions below the 7.0 minimum value in August for corrosion control. He is aware that a total of 9 excursions in a 6 month period is a violation. Problem appears to be at night when the addition of soda ash has pump proportioning problems with the low flows of the system. There is not enough soda ash being pumped in to provide a buffer so the pH does not drop below 7. ACTION NEEDED: Jim will obtain a bigger soda ash tank and look for a different soda ash pump that can better work with the low flows of the system that occur at night. | ||
