Details: SUMMARY: Voluntary boil notice DETAILS: High raw water turbidity is resulting in reduced cartridge filter finished water production. Also filtered water turbidity is rising and is currently 1.2 NTU. System is going on a voluntary boil and notified users via reverse 911. Restaurants in Rhododendron will be notified in-person. Filters will be bypassed so that system can provide water (storage tank is currently only half full). Boil alert anticipated to remain in place for up to a week if rains continue unless raw water turbidity improves. ACTION NEEDED: Boil water in place until filtered water and chlorination restored to the system. Coliform samples will need to be taken showing the system is free of contamination prior to lifting the boil.
