| Details: | SUMMARY: Boil Water notice - Confirmed E. coli at Spring #2 DETAILS: John and Kevin visited the country club today and spoke to the owner about the confirmed E. coli sample at Spring #2 (SRC-AB). The two springs combine before the reservoir and have been shut off from the water system. The system plans to drain the reservoir and will shock chlorinate and flush the reservoir and distribution system. They will fill the reservoir with water from the well and maintain a 0.6 mg/L chlorine residual throughout the distribution system. The system was provided the boil water notice template to post and commonly asked questons handout following a boil water. There are few activities being held so an alternate source of water will be brought in for food preparation and drinking water and ice purchased. Resampling will be done on Monday. Spring #2 sent to hydrogeologist for review to evaluate susceptibility of source and construction. ACTION NEEDED: Inquire about resampling being done next week to determine further action needed. |
