| Details: | 01.26.2022- Rick notified me that the Coos Bay-North Bend Water Board has issued a precautionary boil order as a result of a 6” main break in the distribution system. The break took place on 01.25.2022 at 11:00 am and was caused by pipe failure.
Location: Liberty Avenue in North Bend.
Approximate number of services affected: 5
Expected duration: From noon on 1.25.22 till noon 01.27.2022
Notification: Direct notification.
The boil order will be lifted once repairs have been made and contingent on satisfactory results from 2 consecutive days of bacteriological sampling and confirmation of normal area chlorine residuals.
I emailed Rick advising him to let me know when the boil is lifted and to let us know if there are any language access or format needs. Rick informed me that the repair of the 6 inch main was done without pressure using best management practices. Language access was not needed.
Lifted 01/27/2022: Pressure to affected area has been restored and the coliform results are satisfactory. Partial boil water advisory was lifted at 12 noon on 01.27.2022. |
