| Details: | Received alert for an arsenic result of 0.182 mg/l from a sample collected on 9/12/18. Spoke with the district superintendent Alisha McBrides administrative assistant Beth Morrow. Advised that a Do Not Drink notice must be posted at the school ASAP. Emailed the notice template and arsenic FAQ to the school district. The completed notice was distributed and posted this afternoon. Spoke with Topper Schlupe at the Malheur ESD, who collects the samples for the school. He collected a confirmation sample this afternoon and overnighted it to the lab. The result should be back in 4 days. Spoke with Lindsay EcoWater in Ontario, who installed the system. The owner will have the treatment system inspected. Lifted 11/09/2018: The Do Not Drink advisory is lifted based on three sample results collected between 10/3 and 11/5 that all met the drinking water standard for arsenic, and the schools implementation of a corrective action plan that includes regularly logging detailed maintenance procedures for the treatment system. |
