| Details: | The reverse osmosis system that had been in place for arsenic removal was bypassed to avoid sending reject water into the slough, which was in violation of DEQ rules. Public notice is posted and customers made aware of the high arsenic levels. The arsenic maximum contaminant level does not apply to transient non-community water systems, so no treatment is required. Lifted 08/19/2022: The reverse osmosis treatment system is now in service after changes to the waste stream disposal. Arsenic, fluoride, and nitrate samples collected on 8/8/22 all had non-detect results. |
