| Details: | Initial routine sampling from july 6th had TC+. Did source (trigger) and 3 repeats which resulted in more TC+. They took another round of repeat and trigger which then showed Ecoli positive from a distribution sample.
I have send an email to Tim as well as spoken to him via phone- that they will need to shock the system (preferably for 24 hrs) then flush. Then take special samples - at least 4-5 from same site. Also recommended they install either UV or Chlorination.
This is a special needs camp and just today had a group of kids leave. Another set of kids will be arriving Sunday. We have send Stacey (who manages the camp) info regarding boil water use. Also urged to provide bottled water and possibly find alternative methods for preparing dishes. Update 07/18/2022: Jeff from Star Water reached out and said he has taken 4 samples labeled as special samples. He is also in talks with the Camp for a quote on an UV system. we have send the link to the plan review page on SDWIS. Spoke to Stacy from Camp Attitude. She mentioned new campers arrived 7/17. So far they are providing bottled water for drinking and boiling water for cooking. Boil notice was posted. Lifted 07/20/2022: Spoke to Jason from Star Water and he confirmed there results did not indicate E coli positive. There was one for total Coliform positive. System would need to take 3 routine samples for next month. |
