| Details: | On 12.20.22 Bob Belloni re-started their water treatment plant. The system had been temporarily purchasing water from Coos Bay-North Bend Wtr Brd. During the changeover, the line between the water treatment plant and the storage tank was shock chlorinated and flushed before filling up the storage tank. Free chlorine concentration at the entry point is currently at ~0.7 mg/L. Due to the changeover the water system issued a boil water notice (loss of pressure in the line between the water treatment plant and the storage tank). The system is providing bottled water to the affected customers. Water samples have been collected. The boil water advisory will be lifted once the system can confirm absence of bacterial contamination in the water. Lifted 12/23/2022: Lab samples confirmed absence of bacterial contamination. The water treatment plant is back online. |
