| Details: | I called Joey at 430 pm after DWS received phone calls from commercial users in affected area. Joey clarified that a section of water pipe broke over the weekend in the area of 196th Avenue and San Rafael in Portland over the weekend. Area was isolated. Due to the line break the water service to the affected 15 customers was shut off, prior to positive pressure lost, as a conservative measure. District issued a boil water notice to affected area on Monday Nov 26. All other portions of system remain in positive pressure with no service interruptions, so no system wide boil water notice. District restoring pressure, flushing area, getting chlorine residuals up and taking a coliform sample. Sample results due on 11/27, will consult with DWS prior to lifting local boil notice. Lifted 11/27/2018: Andy Crocker, Rockwood, called at 1130 am on 11/27 to indicate that coliform sample results came back coliform absent today. The District is notifying all affected customers that the local boil water notice has been lifted and to flush their premise plumbing prior to use. |
