| Details: | Rick Abbott reported that the Coos Bay-North Bend Water Board has issued a precautionary boil advisory as a result of a contractor tearing out a 2-inch water main on Barklow Road, east to Saddler Rd and south on Braily Rd. The incident happened aon February 13, at 7:00 p.m. Approximately 29 service connections were affected. No food service facilities, or other licensed facilities affected. Direct notification provided to affected customers. No language access info requested for limited English proficiency.
The Boil order will be lifted contingent on satisfactory results from 2 consecutive days of bacteriological sampling and confirmation of normal area chlorine residuals. Lifted 02/16/2023: The boil order was extended until 2.16.23 due to another leak in the same area. Samples collected: #1 sample 2/15/2023 9:08 am #2 sample 2/15/2023 2:15 pm #3 sample 2/16/2023 10:08 am. Samples came back negative, and all valves returned to normal. Boil order was lifted at 12:00 noon on 2.16.23. |
