| Details: | I spoke with Kevin Fear and he informed me The city has issued a systemwide boil water notice due to a loss of pressure from a planned service saddle replacement and cap off to an abandoned line. 20 psi could not be maintained throughout the distribution system while only utilizing their backup well source and the intertie with Corvallis had been activated. The boil water notice was posted on the website, sent to the media. (Tv, radio, newspaper(s), Facebook, and the city reader board)
Coliform samples will be taken this afternoon. The boil water notice will remain in effect until coliform absent results are confirmed sometime tomorrow. Lifted 11/29/2018: Lab results have been received for 12 coliform samples taken throughout the distribution, all samples were absent for total coliform. Water system staff will be notifying residents that the boil water notice is being lifted as of 12:30 PM. |
