Details: 56 service connections (private residences) were issued boil water advisories on 4/30/23, as a result of the loss of pressure associated with an on going mainline replacement project. Today, an additional 13 service connections (including 1 private school) are being issued a boil water notice for an another section of mainline replacement. After the replacement repairs are complete, the water system will shock chlorinate, flush and then collect special samples. The system anticipates the notice for the 56 connections will be lifted by 5/3/23 and the other 13 service connections will lifted on 5/4/23.

Update 05/24/2023:  The notice for 56 connections and the additional 13 services was lifted on 5/9/23. On 5/10/23, an additional 21 connections (including 2 non-food related businesses) started on a boil water advisory. After the new mainline is shocked chlorinated, flushed and special samples are absent, the notice is anticipated on being lifted on 5/12/23. The water system is still unable to to get clean coliform samples so the system is still on a boil water advisory. The water system also another boil water advisory for another 76 service connections (residential homes) on 5/24/2023. The water system will shock chlorinate, flush and then collect special samples.

Lifted 06/21/2023:  Erica Anderson called to inform Drinking Water Services that the advisory for the two notices (21 and 76 connections) were lifted on 6/21/23. During the period the notices were issued, the water system had to repair multiple line leaks before adequate flushing could be completed and special samples tested absent for coliform. Once the majority of leaks were repaired and the system was flushed, a low concentration of chlorine was added to the system for a week before 5 special samples were collected. The special samples were absent for coliform and the notices were lifted on 6/21/23.
