Details: Rieth Water District, a community water system located in Umatilla County, with 76 connections that serves approximately 150 people, has issued a system wide boil order due to a loss of pressure. Freda Wyss advises that they had a low water level alarm this morning, and when the operator arrived on site, they found that the pump had failed electrically and was no longer functional. Residents are being notified now, and the system has located a replacement pump and anticipates being able to restore service later this evening. The system will take water samples on Monday morning, but will remain under a boil advisory until sample results indicate that the water is safe to drink.

Lifted 07/11/2023:  Advised by systems regulator, Bill Goss, that the systems pump has been replaced and is now working normally. Further, water system indicates that they were able to replace the pump before they ran out of water, and the system pressure never dropped below 20 PSI. The boil order has been lifted and appears now to have not been needed.
