| Details: | The transmission line between the citys water source and town had to be temporarily shut down due to a construction project, resulting in a loss of pressure in the line. The water in the citys storage tank dropped to lower-than-normal levels due to the temporary lack of supply, resulting in reduced pressure in the distribution system. A bacteria sample collected on July 11 after the transmission line was placed back into service tested present for total coliform bacteria. A boil advisory was issued the evening of July 12 as a precautionary measure. Water samples are being collected today. Lifted 07/14/2023: Several water samples collected on 7/13/23 all tested absent for bacteria, allowing the advisory to be lifted. |
