| Details: | A significant leak in a water main was discovered late Saturday afternoon, but the system was unable to begin repairs because the affected main is located in a tidal area. The affected line was de-pressurized this morning during low tide at approximately 6:00 AM to make repairs, and then re-pressurized and flushed. Water samples will be submitted to the lab tomorrow morning. Affected residents were notified by calls and written notices and via social media. The boil order will remain in effect until lab results show that the water is free of bacteria. Lifted 07/18/2023: all samples are TC-. |
