| Details: | Rick Abbott emailed me reporting that the Coos Bay-North Bend Water Board has issued a precautionary boil order as a result of a water main break that occurred on July 23, affecting the area of North Coos Bay on 6th street between Coos bay Blvd and Kingwood Street. Only two service connections affected in this area. None of these connections were food services facilities or other licensed facilities. Affected customers received direct notification. No language access information was needed. The system is expecting to lift the boil advisory by July 25, at 8:00 a.m. Prior to lifting the boil the system will ensure satisfactory results from 2 consecutive days of bacteriological sampling and confirmation of normal area chlorine residuals.
Lifted 07/27/2023: Rick reported that water samples lab results came back absent of bacterial contamination. Chlorine residual is back within the normal range. |
