| Details: | The Coos Bay-North Bend Water Board has issued a precautionary boil order due to low system water pressure (below 20 PSI). The low-pressure incident was the result of a 2-inch main break in the distribution system that occurred on 10.08.2023.
The area affected was Eastside of Coos Bay on the 400-block 10th Avenue. No eateries were affected.

The boil order will be lifted contingent on satisfactory results from 2 consecutive days of bacteriological sampling and confirmation of normal area chlorine residuals.
Update 10/10/2023: Jason Mills emailed me informing me that due to the result of the second sample, the boil order on 10th Avenue has been extended to October 12th at 4 PM. The water system is renotifying all affected customers, flushing and resampling. Lifted 10/12/2023: Jason Mills reported that based on two consecutive negative bacteria samples, the boil order on the 400 block of 10th Avenue was lifted at 4:00 PM on October 12th. |
