| Details: | The operator called and let me know that there was a loss of pressure to the East and West distribution systems affecting approximately 42,000 people with the cause being loss of power. This affects a mix of residential and commercial customers. The notice was distributed by TV, radio, newspaper and webpage. SUB is still waiting for power. The boil water notice will remain in place until pressure is restored, and coliform samples are negative. Update 01/17/2024: SUB has restored power to the Willamette water treatment plant and is in the process of restoring pressure to parts of the distribution. In the pressurized areas, they will begin taking samples and testing for coliform. If negative, SUB will lift the boil water notice. They plan on distributing a new map that shows the areas that are still under a boil water advisory and will remain until pressure is restored and tests are negative. Update 01/19/2024: Test results for the West side have come back negative. The boil water advisory for the West side will be lifted, the map will be d. Samples have been taken for the East side and the water system is waiting for results. All pressure has been restored to the distribution system. SUB is posting d information on their website. Lifted 01/22/2024: All test results are negative for bacteria. SUB has lifted the notice. |
