Details: | The City discovered a large leak on the main transmission line that resulted in loss of pressure for customers north of Highway 26 and customers on Sellers Road, North of Banks Road and South of Hwy 26. The City issued a boil advisory for ~69 affected homes on Wednesday, January 17th and notified customers through the Citys webpage, Facebook page, and phone calls. The leak was repaired on Wednesday January 17th, transmission line was repressurized, and samples were taken for bacterial analysis. Due to inclement weather and road conditions delaying sample collection, lab delivery, and analyses the City anticipates receiving sample results on Monday, January 22nd. Consequently, the City plans to lift the boil advisory at that time. Lifted 01/22/2024: This partial boil water advisory issued for ~69 homes has been lifted. Samples taken came back negative for TC. Impacted customers were informed via phone, and the lifting of the boil advisory was also communicated on the citys social media channels and official webpage. |
