Infants under 6 months of age should not be served water, juice, and formula prepared with tap water. Bottled water or other water low in nitrates should be used for infants until further notice. NCPHD had a conversation with Elizabeth. She informed them that she had issued a "Do Not Drink" advisory to their customers on January 24, 2024, after receiving a phone call from the lab regarding the nitrate results. Elizabeth has added salt to the salt tanks and plans to resample on January 29, 2024. She will be sending a copy of their "Do Not Drink" advisory to the NCPHD via email. Update 01/25/2024: Elizabeth received an email from NCPHD containing a template for a public notice regarding nitrate. This was necessary because the document sent to DWS compliance didn’t meet the requirements for public notice. NCPHD requested Elizabeth to send the final copy of the notice to look over before sending it to DWS compliance. Update 01/26/2024: Elizabeth has sent NCPHD form for the "Do Not Drink" advisory public notice for nitrate and has been sent to DWS compliance. Elizabeth will resample on January 29, 2024, and inform NCPHD when they submit their resamples to the lab. Lifted 02/02/2024: Elizabeth sent NCPHD the lab results via email for the resamples on January 29, 2024. The nitrate resample results are 1.2 mg/l and have been sent to DWS compliance.
