| Details: | The water system experienced a major leak that drained the reservoir. Locate has been called in and boil notices were hand delivered to all residences. The school and one restaurant were closed today due to lack of water pressure. Damaged line has been isolated and tank is refilling. Chlorine residual is good throughout town. Water samples will be taken to the lab today. David Hand (former operator) is assisting the water system with this emergency. Lifted 02/21/2024: The water system too 5 coliform samples to Box R lab on Monday (2/20) and all 5 samples were absent for bacteria. The lab will be submitting the sample results to the state on 2/22/24. The system is released from the boil notice. |
