03.05.2024-I contacted Mark to follow up on the next steps. Mark was advised to follow up with:
- Issue a boil water public notice and email me a copy of the notice by 03.18.2024. The notice must be posted in public places. The notice must remain in place until the system can verify that they meet 4-log inactivation of viruses. Mark was advised to provide a copy of the notice via email.
- Email me confirming the corrective action that the system has decided to implement to address this issue. The system requested technical CR assistance. Steve Reber with CR will provide assistance in determining 4-log inactivation.
03.04.2024-I contacted Mark to verify that he was clear on the follow up samples needed to address the AS sample that tested positive for E. Coli. Mark was ad the lab and stated that he collected 5 confirmation samples. Lifted 03/25/2024: 03.25.24 - Boil water advisory lifted. The Disinfection Verification Form provided by Steve (Civil West) was reviewed and approved. Starting today (03.25.2024) the system will maintain a minimum of 1.5 mg-L free chlorine at the 1st user to ensure 4-log viral disinfection - Treatment code Z361. Mark reported that he has already been maintaining chlorine levels above 1.5 mg-L for the several days. Next steps: The system has to complete the plan review approval process. A Microscopic Particulate Analysis is required. Steve, with Civil West, will assist with the MPA. |
