| Details: | The water system notified DWS of a complete loss of pressure caused by a water main break. This disruption affected 15 homes on Kahnie Trail Loop in Neahkahnie Breach, OR. Affected customers received direct notification via phone calls and door knockers. Repairs are expected to be completed by the end of the day. However, the boil water advisory will remain in effect until test results confirm the absence of bacterial contamination. Lifted 08/28/2024: The Neahkahnie Water District experienced a main break on August 23, 2024, resulting in an unplanned water shut off, followed by a boil notice that was in place for 6 days before test results could be returned. Water Test Results came out absent for contaminants, and the Boil Water Advisory status was removed on August 28, 2024. Water is safe to drink, and normal activities have been resumed. Many of the Kahnie Trail Loop residents affected, had only landlines listed in their contact information, and many had no email addresses.
