| Details: | Dave Embleton called the after-hours phone this morning at 11:20 am to report that Springfield Utility Board (SUB) had a main break resulting in a loss of pressure for approximately 73 residential connections. Affected residents are being notified by water system staff who are going door to door, and door hangers advising of the boil order will also be used as needed. Repairs are under way and anticipated to be completed within four hours, at which time the system will be re-pressurized. The boil order will remain in place until repairs are complete and follow up bacteriological sampling indicates that the water is safe.
Lifted 10/29/2024: Water system has repaired main line and re-pressurized the water system. Bacterial test results as of 10/29 are absent. Advisory is lifted. |
