| Details: | The water system collected a nitrate sample on 6/16/25 which tested at 14.6ppm. This is over the MCL of 10ppm. The system utilizes RO for treating well 3 and blending well 3 and the basalt well. At this time, it is unknown the failure in the treatment is. A follow up sample is not able to be collected until next week. Lifted 07/10/2025: The water system had a nitrate sample collected on 6/26 that tested at 5.26ppm. This result was not received until 7/10. The system will be put on an increased monitoring schedule (quarterly nitrate monitoring) to ensure treatment is working effectively. The schedule will be reevaluated in 2026. |
