Details: The city’s main reservoir tower experienced a structural failure, resulting in a complete and immediate loss of water service to portions of Upper Maupin. Impacted areas included Canyon Rim Assisted Living, the local clinic, and residences in the Troutman Addition. Bottled water was delivered and is available at the Civic Center, and there are at least two 4,000-gallon tanker trucks from Bishop Sanitation mobilized and are now supplying water to the distribution system. Water service has since been restored to Upper Maupin however, supply remains limited, and a precautionary boil water advisory is in effect for all homes in Upper Maupin and on Riverside until water sampling and test results are complete.
