| Details: | A repeat sample following a routine total coliform detection, was E. coli positive. The system has issued a boil water advisory and is investigating/evaluating the system to determine what corrective action is needed. I will be visiting the system for a L2 investigation. The advisory will remain until the contamination is properly resolved and confirmed with monitoring. Lifted 01/06/2026: The water system has completed corrective action and shock chorination. The system now has three months of routine coliform samples in compliance (Nov and Dec have been reported and I confirmed with Waterlab Corp that the sample collected on 1/2/26 is absent for TC and EC). The water system has lifted the boil advisory and notified customers. Update 09/18/2025: The well sanitary seal has been evaluated by Shiloh Water is not sealing properly at the well cap. The seal is being replaced followed by shock chlorination the week of 9/22. Once the chlorine residual is gone, a source, treated, and distribution sample will be collected to determine next steps. |
