| Details: | Routine distribution sample taken on 8-21-25 was positive for total coliform and E.coli. Two of the three repeat samples that were taken on 8-22-25 were positive for total coliform and E.coli, thus distribution was confirmed to have E.coli and firm filled out and posted Tier 1 Notice on 8-25-25. Five confirmation samples for source will be taken 8-26-25 to see if the source is confirmed. All five results came back total coliform positive and two results were also E.coli positive, thus confirming the well is the source of the E.coli.
The firm currently waiting on a bid to put in either a sump pump or drain to daylight to prevent well head in vault from flooding. Then the system will need to be shocked, flushed until distribution has no detectable chlorine, then one routine sample at distribution and one source sample at outside spigot near well head must be tested and absent for total coliform and E.coli.
