| Details: | Broken chlorinator at well #2. Consumer/residential boil notice was issued by the WS. Update 09/12/2025: Due to lack of communication from the water system, A boil advisory is required for the entire water system. Ask Columbia County for details at 503.397.7247 Update 12/04/2025: Administrative Order sent to WS on 12/1/2025. WS responded with intentions to drill a new well to replace Well #2. Pete called to clarify boiling water is required before drinking water from Well #2, and emailed the Tier 1 template to Ms. Kangas Mr. Stoddard to fill out and distribute to consumers immediately. Update 12/09/2025: The chlorinator was fixed relatively quickly and has actually been operable since September 10th. (The Operator lifted the Boil Order on Sept. 11th.) However, due to the lack of contact time, and the confirmed contamination of the well, it is still unknown whether viruses are absent in ever corner of the water system. So the Boil Order remains in place. |
