Details: | The City of Albany, a community water system serving 17,950, is going on a localized boil water advisory. At approximately 12:15 PM today, a contractor hit an 8” AC main at 3211 Hill Street in Albany. The contractor shut some valves causing a substantial loss of pressure to 21 homes. Repairs to the break have been made, lines have been flushed, bacteria samples collected, and staff have distributed boil water advisory door hangers to each affected home. The area includes residential customers only. Lifted 04/03/2019: The City of Albany has lifted the boil advisory. The City received test results back at 11:48 AM today showing no bacteria present. Affected residents have been notified. |
