300 gallons of high turbidity water - 20 NTU - was put in the 4,750 gallons in the Clearwell. Operators issued a boil water within a few hours. Update 12/10/2025: Turns out the new calculation from the Operator showed only about 60 gallons of 20 NTU water entered the Clearwell. Not 300 gallons. This is another reason the boil order was not quite necessary. But again, it is does not hurt to be overly protective of public health, particularly in the initial hours after an event such as this. |
