| Details: | The operator indicates that they are inundated with flood water and the north side of their system is largely flooded. They have not lost pressure at this time, but issued the boil advisory due to the presence of septic systems in the flood zone discharging effluent. Update 12/22/2025: After flooding that began Thursday night began to recede, staff and OAWU circuit riders went to assess damage, leaks were repaired and no structural damage was found. No pressure loss occurred. Thursday-Friday the USGS streamflow station just below the intake read above 775 NTU. The DRC closed the customer side of the village, bringing the population down to 30 people since Friday, this allowed them to implement conservation measures. Chlorine residual at the furthest parts of the distribution system dropped considerably (due to water stagnation) but was still within the allowable limits. Coliform samples will be taken today (12/23) and the lab will let the operator know of the results by 12/25. Lifted 12/24/2025: Meghan Smith called this afternoon to advise that their system is now stable and all of their water samples came back clean, so they are lifting their boil advisory and resuming normal operations. |
