| Details: | Michelle Connor called to advise that they have issued a partial boil advisory for approximately 156 connections on the south side of their community. The system sustained damage from tree falls due to the heavy rain in the area, resulting in this portion of the system being unable to maintain adequate pressure, and they have decided to isolate the affected connections until repairs can be made. Update 12/20/2025: Michelle Connor called at 10:15 am this morning to advise that system went offline at approximately 6:00 pm last night and that the entire system is now under a boil advisory. Water system personnel are working to clear the Mackey Creek intake to allow at least part of the system to be re-pressurized again but they do not have an ETA for this work to be complete. Update 12/22/2025: Spoke with City staff this morning (12/22) who provided an . The distribution system pressure on the north side of highway 22 has been restored, city staff will be collecting coliform samples and lifting the advisory for that side of town after results come back in. They are working on restoring pressure on the south side of highway 22, they estimate pressure will be restored later tonight and will take coliform samples once pressure is restored. They will send d flyers to customers and post s on their facebook page. Update 12/23/2025: Coliform test results came back today and tested absent of coliforms E.coli, those impacted customers have been notified of the results and lifted boil advisory. The operators isolated customers on Deer St. since this was the hardest hit area, all meters were turned off. The one resident on Deer St. has been told to continue following the boil water advisory. Coliform sampling for that area has been done, samples were dropped off at the lab today. Water system will the customer of the results. Lifted 12/24/2025: Detroit let me know that all coliform results are absent, including those taken at Deer St. They have lifted the boil water advisory and have notified the impacted customers. |
