| Details: | The operator contacted us and let us know that the system was trying to pump water from zero-pressure Crystal Springs Water lines (at the purchase point). They have declared a boil-water advisory. We reminded them of the procedures for flushing, testing, and public notification.
The reservoir serving the system still has water in it. They had questions about the need to disinfect that water. We advised raising the chlorine level by 1-2 ppm and letting it rest overnight. Subsequent flushing and re-filling ought to dilute any additional chlorine residual when the boil water advisory (in Crystal Springs) is lifted. Lifted 02/12/2026: Bacteria sample collected on 2/4/26 is absent of coliform and advisory is lifted. |
