Details: | I spoke with Nonda Zwald this morning who said waterline break this morning caused all customers (roughly 270 people, 99 connections) to lose water pressure. The system purchases water from the City of Tillamook and they were able to shut down the connection to the City, therefore, no City of Tillamook customers were affected. The waterline repairs and follow-up coliform sampling (3-4 sites) is expected to be completed today. Customers were notified via reverse 911 and radio announcement this morning and the Zonda is working on a direct delivery notification to be delivered this morning. Nonda was provided the DWS after hours number of 503-704-1174 number as well as the OHA PH duty officer number of 971-246-1789 number to call this weekend to lift the boil notice. Jamie Craig with Tillamook County (503-842-3909) was also notified and messages were left with Sara Schwab (503-508-6028) and Alex Munderson (503-801-0751) with the Oregon Dept of Ag. It does not appear that any restaurants are affected as the service area is residential. Lifted 05/18/2019: The waterline was repaired and system pressure and chlorine residual was restored by the next day (5-18-19). The boil advisory was lifted by about 1:30 pm on Saturday, May 18, 2019 after consultation with Casey Lyon with OHA-DWS. Update 05/20/2019: advisory lifted, samples all negative from 5/18/19 |
