| Details: | Aug 4th the systems pump went out, causing depressurization. A sample was taken the first week of August and that RT sample came back positive for Total Coliform. They received the call on August 4th. A Boil Water Notice was hand delivered to all customers on the 4th. On Monday, August 7th, a new ell was installed and the water pressure was restored. The cistern was shocked and is now allowing 24hrs to sanitize. Keith is going to take a sample early Tuesday the 9th. If that is clear, then the water will be run through the system to clear the Cl2 and the notice will be lifted.
Keith is going to send in all paper work to the State on or about the 10th.
If the sample comes back positive, the system will move forward with the next steps.
Update 09/05/2017: The system has shocked the system and regained pressure. Follow-up samples on 8-9-17 and 8-10-17 were all negative. Lifted 09/05/2017: Please lift boil water notice. Update 09/10/2024: THIS SYSTEM HAS TRIED TO DRILL A NEW WELL, YET THE WATER WAS UNUSABLE. THEY ARE STILL HAULING IN WATER FROM SMAIF, AND THEY HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH ENGINEERS AND THEIR CIRCUIT RIDERS TO DEVELOPE A NEW WATER SYSTEM WITH NEW WELLS. THEY ARE STILL IN DEVELOPEMENT. ONE RESIDENT HAS COMPLAINED TO EVERYONE THAT THE WATER IS BAD AND HE DOES NOT GET WATER ALL THE TIME, SOMETIMES WEEKS WITHOUT WATER... THIS IS FALSE. THE SYSTEM HAS RECORDS OF EVERY WATER DELIVERY AND MONITORS THE CISTERN WATER LEVELS A FEW TIMES A WEEK. |
