| Details: | A heavy storm caused runoff carrying ash from the 2015 fire to overtop the spring collection area, causing turbid water to enter the drinking water system. The city is flushing the system to dispose of the turbid water. Lifted 08/14/2019: Turbidity levels in both water coming into the spring collector and in the distribution system have dropped to below 1 NTU, and a chlorine residual has been restored throughout the entire distribution system, allowing the boil advisory to be lifted. Flushing of water mains to continue. Coliform sample results are pending. |
