| Details: | A waterline air-release valve was hit today, and a small portion of the distribution lost pressure. As the City was unable to completely isolate the affected area, two connections (one residential and one a state police facility) lost positive pressure, and the system has issued a localized boil water notice as a result, to these customers. All other areas remain in positive pressure. Boil notices handed to residents. System fixing leak, restoring pressure, and collecting coliform sample(s) today. Results due on Friday - City will call back with results. Lifted 08/23/2019: Doug Priest from Salem notified DWS that the coliform test came back absent so the boil notice will be lifted. |
