| Details: | Ben informed me of a power outage and no booster pump to maintain distribution system pressure above 20 psi. He has notified schools and posted it at city hall, post office and on the website. I followed up with Ben recommending hand delivery of notice to reach all customers. He does not think the city has the resources to hand deliver the notice. Once the power and system pressure is restored, a follow up sample will be collected to determine if the boil water advisory can be lifted.
Marion County Environmental health contacted their licensed facilities and the elementary school.
Lifted 08/28/2019: I received a call from Ben Unger on 8/27 informing me the coliform sample was good. I contacted the testing lab on 8/28 and confirmed the sample was good. Ben is notifying customers that the boil advisory has been lifted. I also contacted Michelle Byrd -OHA and Sarah Schwab - ODA to inform them of the results. |
