| Details: | Spoke to John Menendez and he reported that as of last week he has given notice to the on-site host and the post master to not use the water. The community center is otherwise closed for repairs. I told him to go ahead and post the official public notice document and send me a copy of what he has posted. he also stated he had submitted additional samples earlier today and at my request would try to find a logical place to draw a source sample tomorrow. Lifted 03/20/2020: Issues previously noted relating to spring are in order: shoe box type lid is secure and a gasket is in place (that takes extra attention to assure it stays intact), vegetation has been cleared away to make it easier to see the landscape, a shallow trench has been made to catch run off/surface water between the base of the steep slope and the spring box, vegetation with potential to fall into the spring box, when opened, has been eliminated overhead of the spring box, a wire cage encircling the spring box is locked. |
