|Details:|| I (Nicole) was made aware this morning by phone call that there was a sign posted at the Grand Central Travel Center that there was no water available. The Lindas Restaurant Water System supplies water to the restaurant, Subway, the travel center, and Dintys Motor Inn. I called the system operator David to talk about the situation. The system has been without water for a few days now, Subway closed Sunday (today is Tuesday) and Lindas had closed before then. The system is a spring and pressure had dropped to the point of no water available. I spoke with David that if they repair the pump for the system and begin supplying water to the system, that they are required to boil water until they can take a special coliform sample to determine that the water is safe to drink. I will be following up with David later today to see how the situation is going and following up with the business operators and owners to make sure they are aware they should boil water to protect their patrons.
Lifted 11/01/2019: Called Lindas restaurant and got the owner of Grand Central Travel Center, Cory, on the phone. The water system was fixed and they have restored pressure to the system. There was samples taken to determine if there was coliform present in the system on Wednesday and results were absent.
