Details: Was called and informed that the system has lost pressure on their system once again and the cistern went empty. When working on the pump system, the 40 gallon bucket of sodium hypochlorite got knocked over and dumped into the cistern. The system will be extremely chlorinated and on a do not drink notice until the chlorine is flushed from the system and there has been a negative coliform sampling.

Update 11/09/2019:  I spoked to Aric Morton (530-518-3437) with Broad Bent Inc. who is the new contact for the water system and working to resolve their water issue. Lindas Restaurant has been sold and is being remodeled. The booster pump at the cistern is being replaced, followed by flushing and dechlorinating. He plans to collect a coliform bacteria sample on Monday. He will notify me once the system is repressurized and chlorine levels are back to normal. - M. Byrd

Update 11/13/2019:  Samples were collected this morning and we are expecting absent results tomorrow. They had some issues with the system and were having trouble maintaining a residual concentration which was ultimately addressed yesterday afternoon.

Lifted 11/14/2019:  Contact with Greg Gosson today. He has received word from the lab that his coliform results have come back absent. We exchanged email addresses and he will have the lab send me an electronic copy of the lab results to confirm. The chlorine residual on the system was 0.32 yesterday and 0.24 today. The advisory will be lifted today and will be following up in the future with plans to improve the water system
