Details: | An anonymous caller stating they were a resident at Mt Hood RV Village called 12/20/19 and spoke to Sunny Lee (epidemiologist on CD team), stating management emailed the residents there was a water main break the night before. They did not get a boil water instruction and was concerned as they stated their water was brown.
Sunny notified Julie Hamilton 12/20/19 via email.
Julie called and was able to speak with Jerry Stoler at 2:15pm on 12/20/19.
Jerry confirmed they discovered a line leak at the lowest point, a remote area at the end of the line. 4 cottages receive water after this point, and 1 is currently unoccupied. Jerry confirmed with residents of 2 of the cottages that they still had water pressure prior to the line repair.
The water was shut off yesterday (12/29/2019) to repair the line, and Jerry did not confirm if the pressure dropped to 0 during that time. The repair is complete and the line pressurized currently.
Due to the complaint of brown water, we decided that they will issue a partial boil water advisory to the 4 homes effected and will deliver the notices by hand, and will email a copy of the advisory to us.
Jerry is also going to take water samples for testing when he drops off the advisory, and then run them to the lab today. Lifted 01/10/2020: clean sample results obtained |
