| Details: | The operator reported that their system is down. Salmon Run Golf is without water. After assessing the situation, the operator found both UV bulbs burnt out, the filters completely clogged and the pump to fill the raw water tank is not working. Water is pumped from the well to a storage tank, then it goes through treatment, which includes 2 cartridge filters for sediment removal and a Viqua Pro 24-186 UV reactor for disinfection. The UV reactor was installed to guarantee 4.0 log ( 99.99 removal)inactivation of viruses. Salmon Run Golf Course is currently using water provided by a water truck and bottled water.
On 03.18.2020 The operator posted a boil water notice. The operator was instructed to flush the lines,drain the storage tank to remove sediment accumulated in the tank, replace filters, UV bulbs and collect a coliform bacteria sample after verifying UV reactor is operating. Sample must be mark as a "special sample" and retain in utility records for 2 years.
Copy of the boil water notice emailed to DWS on 03.20.2020 Lifted 03/20/2020: Boil water notice lifted 03.20.2020: test result for the special water sample came back negative for bacterial contamination. The operator replaced the UV bulbs and filters, flushed the line and drained the storage tank before placing the system back online. |
